Inside Story: Paul Ehrlich and The Population Bomb — In 1968 Paul Ehrlich published a book titled The Population Bomb. This program tells the story of how Ehrlich came to write the book and the controversies which have surrounded the man and his idea since. ABC TV, Tuesday, April 15, 8.30pm.

Quantum: What's Your Poison: Marijuana — Two-thirds of 20-year-olds and one in eight of all adults use marijuana. Marijuana users claim that it's harmless, but the authorities claim it is addictive, carcinogenic and brain-damaging. What does science find? ABC TV, Thursday, April 17, 8pm.

Cutting Edge: Peace Prize — The "behind the scenes" story of how the IRA cease-fire in occupied Ireland came about and how it broke down, using secret government documents, private correspondence between the British and Irish PMs and eyewitness testimonies from key participants.
