Colin O'Brien

Colin O'Brien died in early September. Colin had been an apprentice chef and a member of Resistance and the Socialist Workers Party in Sydney in the early 1980s.

He worked in Europe for a number of years before returning to Sydney, where he established a number of popular restaurants in the inner city.

Colin was always willing to donate a meal and a bottle of wine as a raffle prize for progressive causes and shared his prodigious culinary talent to help create the tradition of fine food served at the dinner dances for Direct Action and later Â鶹´«Ã½. His generosity and hospitality, not to mention cooking, will be sadly missed.
