75 years of longing, 75 years of resistance, and 75 years of Palestinian Identity. Join us on Saturday 13th of May to commemorate 75 years of the Palestinian Nakba (The Catastrophe).
Between 1947 and 1949, at least 750,000 Palestinians from a 1.9 million population of our people were made refugees. Zionist forces had taken more than 78 percent of historic Palestine, ethnically cleansed and destroyed about 530 villages and cities, and killed about 15,000 Palestinians in a series of mass atrocities, including more than 70 massacres.
Be present. Commit to the fight against Zionism. Learn our history resisting the Israeli supremacist project. Share widely.
We will be hosting speakers and sharing stories from key Palestinians in the community! We will march and make political demands to our complicit Australian government! Most importantly, we will be showing love and solidarity to those resisting back home in Palestine.
Therefore, join us on the 13th of May, 2023, at the Victorian State Library with our sister organisations to commemorate Nakba 75 with all those across the globe and in Palestine.
