SYNOPSIS
Palestinians Don’t Need Sidewalks
Genocide, Resistance, Complicity. 71 minutes
“Dare to Struggles” latest film, takes us on a journey through the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem that, through Palestinian eyes, profiles life living under Israeli occupation. Through visiting Palestinian homes in East Jerusalem, Silwan and Nabi Samwil the film gives an account of life under Israeli occupation prior to the October 7 Hamas breakout.
In 2024 “Dare to Struggle” partnered with the “Hebron Human Rights Defenders” who throughout the year gathered footage of Palestinian life and of Israeli aggression against Palestinians. They also conducted interviews as a reflection of life for Palestinians after October 7.
The film also looks at Australia’s complicity with Israel, particularly through Australia’s commitment to reinvigorating its manufacturing base by integrating into the US military supply chain. It also touches on the mainstream media and how the Zionist lobby has managed to control the information that is presented via these channels. This film goes way beyond how mainstream media portrays Israel. It is a film well worth seeing.
And attached is a square that you could fill in the details or just cut off the bottom part and use as an image. It's of Zamzan who is being held at a checkpoint in Hebron. As I previously mentioned we worked closely with the Hebron Human Rights Defenders on this film and if you are using the film to fundraise for Palestine then we are asking that at least 25% of funds raised be directed towards the Hebron Human Rights defenders.
If you were to take a photo of the screening event we would use it as part of our social media promotion along with any short comments from people including from yourself that relate to people's reaction to the film or to its use value.
