Why

Through real-time bodycam and phone footage, frontline activists take audiences along on their audacious raids to tear down arms factories around the UK.

Since 2020, direct action group聽聽have documented their operations to dismantle the companies and infrastructure supplying weapons to the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

Independent film makers聽Rainbow Collective聽have combined this cache of footage with narration by the group's founders to follow the explosive growth of one of the world's most effective and confrontational protest groups, and the backlash activists face as they incur the wrath of the British state and the arms companies operating on their soil.

Following the controversial聽聽in the UK, this film has been taken down all platforms. So this might be a rare opportunity to watch it in cinema.

This film screening will be followed by a conversation and a Q&A session with聽Margie Pestorius听补苍诲听Nick Hanna.

聽is a long time activist a co-founders of 鈥溾. She has been involved in anti-military work since the first gulf war. In 2016, she walked into聽聽to oppose the use of Pine Gap as a military operation base for war crimes.

Nick Hanna聽is a Lebanese Australian lawyer, director of聽聽and host of the new podcast, the What & the Why. He has provided pro bono legal services to various people participating in pro-Palestine direct action and other political activities during the Gaza genocide.
