New additions to the Marx/Engels Internet Archive — The text of the following Marxist classics have been transcribed for access from the M/E Web site: Lessons of October by Trotsky (1924); Capital Vol. 3, chapters 1-7 by Marx; Leon Trotsky in Norway (1936); Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels: An Introduction to Their Lives and Work by David Riazanov (1927); Revolutionary Silhouettes by Anatoly Lunacharsky (1923).

Free Speech News Wire — A news list for discussion/debate of international news that is not normally found in the mainstream media, especially concerning government, corporate, institutional and religious cover-up and fraud.

Disgruntled — This e-zine's slogan is the "The business magazine for people who work for a living". Its mission is to be a forum for workers to get their own back on the boss. Recent editions have featured stories on dobbing in companies for breaking the law — "whistle-blowing" — and dreaming up pranks to get even with bosses. Disgruntled includes areas such as "Quitting Time" — how to quit in style; and "Morning Briefing", a round-up of news items about disgruntled workers around the world. A nice touch is the "boss button". At the bottom of each page is an icon which, when clicked, causes a bogus report to appear on the screen so that your boss won't know you're surfing instead of working. The title of the report is "Our Mission Is to Increase Shareholder Value."

Committee for the Cancellation of the Third World Debt (COCAD) — This committee is actively organising to counter the G7 countries' and the World Bank/International Monetary Fund/World Trade Organisation's policies that are crippling the economies of the poor countries through mounting demands for debt repayment and the enforcement of structural adjustment programs. COCAD will be participating in a counter-summit beginning June 21 in opposition to the G7 Summit in Lyon as well as the Zapatista-called intercontinental meeting against neo-liberalism in Chiapas July 27-August 3. COCAD's home page is http://www.linkline.be/users/cadtm.

McSpotlight grows — McDonald's and other corporate heavies must be thinking that the McSpotlight site has taken on a life of its own, akin to a giant anti-capitalist computer virus. As well as exposing the unethical practices of McDonald's, the site now has an expanding Beyond McDonald's page (http://www.mcspotlight.org/beyond/index.html) which reveals the activities of some of the world's biggest corporations. Companies and brand names finding themselves under the McSpotlight include: Nestles, Shell, Kodak, Fosters, Pepsi and Mitsubishi. McSpotlight also dedicates Â鶹´«Ã½ to entire industries, especially oil (http://www.mcspotlight.org/beyond/oil.html) and tobacco (http://www.mcspotlight.org/beyond/tobacco.html).
