Craig Nielsen has been on a 1000 km walk to raise funds for women and children in Gaza. He will end his marathon walk at Parliament House steps during this rally!
Be there to welcome him home and to congratulate Craig on this extraordinary effort for Palestine!
Hear also from Professor Jon Jureidini who will speak about the unseen horror of this genocide: the trauma inflicted on the survivors in Gaza. Jon Jureidini is a child psychiatrist and academic, a member of the Executive Committee of the Australia Palestine Advocacy Network and a former member of the AFOPA Executive Committee.
Also hear from Maddy Tapley from Students for Palestine Adelaide, who will update us on the state of the national student movement for Palestine. Maddy is a Flinders delegate to the National Union of Students and was a participant in the Adelaide University Gaza Solidarity Encampment.
Our demands are:
-an immediate and permanent ceasefire
-that unfettered humanitarian aid immediately is allowed into Gaza
-that our government imposes sanctions on Israel
-that our government recalls the Australian ambassador to Israel and expels the Israeli Ambassador to Australia
-that Australia establishes an arms embargo on Israel and all defense materiel produced in Australia is banned from being sent to Israel
-an end to the occupation and apartheid.
