Why

Unionists for Palestine WA fundraiser film screening:聽Palestinians Don't Need Sidewalks聽takes us on a journey through occupied Palestine. It profiles, through Palestinian eyes, life under Israeli occupation. The film聽builds on the investigation, by a Jewish professor,聽a Palestinian student activist and聽a former聽politician,聽into Israel鈥檚 settler colonial, apartheid society as documented in聽鈥Palestine Under聽Siege鈥. This film is produced by聽Dare to Struggle Films,聽makers of聽Palestine under Siege, and is its latest documentary on聽the Palestinian struggle for self-determination.聽

From before 1948, the zionist project has been working to ethnically cleanse the country of Palestinians.聽Palestinians featured in the film reinforce their commitment to resist聽the zionist theft of their land.聽

The film also investigates聽Australia鈥檚 complicity with the Israeli-US genocide of Palestinians.聽Both聽major Australian political parties are endeavouring to reinvigorate our manufacturing industry by integrating it into the US military supply chain.

Funds raised from this screening will be donated to Hebron Human Rights Defenders.聽In making this film Dare to Struggle Films partnered with this group, which聽provided interviews and footage, profiling聽the increasing settler violence happening聽in the West聽
