About 30 school students protested outside National Australia Bank (NAB) headquarters on December 10 calling on the bank to stop funding fossil聽fuels and to stop its green washing.

NAB has lent $7 billion to fossil fuel corporations over the past five years. It is financing the world鈥檚 largest coal port in Newcastle, and the Woodside gas Hub in Burrup near Karratha in Western Australia.

NAB has lent $50 million to Santos to frack the Pilliga State Forest in Western NSW on the land of the Gomeroi First Nations people.

The bank is also funding gas pipeline companies in Canada,聽violating聽the聽land聽rights of the Wet'suwet'en tribe.

The school students were dressed in red angel wings, red cloaks, funny hats and red-framed sunglasses. They chaulked聽slogans on the footpath and handed out flyers聽detailing NAB鈥檚 climate crimes.
