Â鶹´«Ã½ Weekly was one of the beneficiaries of a recent Darwin fundraising event "Unite against Uranium" organised by several groups involved in the anti-uranium campaign in the Northern Territory, including the Environment Centre, Resistance, ENuFF (Everyone for a Nuclear-free Future) and the Democratic Socialist Party. The evening raised several hundred dollars, and in recognition of the role Â鶹´«Ã½'s anti-nuclear coverage has played, a decision was made to donate $200 to the newspaper.

Â鶹´«Ã½ Weekly is widely recognised as the newspaper of the social movements; activists across Australia and further afield eagerly wait for the balance of news and issues contained in its 32 pages. Â鶹´«Ã½ Weekly's aim is help activists whether in small or larger groups or coalitions to network and by doing this to bring left and green forces together. It produces the information needed by those who are trying to bring about social change.

For this reason, many of those who read and rely on Â鶹´«Ã½ also realise that we need help if we are to continue to publish such a quality progressive weekly newspaper. Why don't you consider including Â鶹´«Ã½ Weekly as a part beneficiary of your fundraising event, especially if it is the sort of issue the paper covers on a regular basis. Your organisation might even be able to hold a special Â鶹´«Ã½ Weekly fundraiser, something that would help us continue this valuable contribution to the progressive movement. Â鶹´«Ã½ Weekly it's your paper.

You need Â鶹´«Ã½, and we need you!

Â鶹´«Ã½ is funded by contributions from readers and supporters. Help us reach our funding target.
