XR Drum Rebellion are having an "Gathering/Wake for Ian", for Ian Colvin, for ALL his protest and campaigning friends to be together to honour and respect and reminisce about Ian, celebrate his contribution, see some photos and videos, and for folks to say a few words if they feel like it.
Anyone who knew Ian will be most welcome too, perhaps even to find out about this part of his life for the first time. We encourage others, his tango friends, his friends at Wayside Chapel, to join us and share some aspects of Ian we might not be so familiar with. And especially extend this invitation any of his family who might be able to attend, though they all live a long way away.
We will have the function room upstairs at the Forest Lodge Hotel, food and drinks are available to buy. We may well adjourn to the downstairs bars afterwards.
