Unionists for Palestine are calling for all Palestine supporters to join an action to defend pro-Palestine teacher Jason Wong.
Jason was amongst the group of proud public school teachers who spoke out at the Education Department in December, calling on the Minister for education to end his comicity with Israeli genocide.
Jason discussed his commitment to ensure all his students are treated equally, whether they are Jewish, Muslim, Israeli or Christian, and that this commitment leads him to oppose the genocide in Gaza. Channel 9 clipped a line from Jason’s speech to misrepresent this argument and falsely suggest Jason supports terrorism.
The Department of Education is pursuing a complaint of misconduct against Jason in response to his pro-Palestine activism.
Zionist agitators are conducting a targeted campaign to get Jason fired, as they did with ABC journalist Antointette Lattouff.
They are holding a protest outside Jason’s school, Prahran High School on Jan 31st, 1:00 pm - the first day of term 1 for many students.
We will not allow them to intimidate Jason, or to silence the widespread dissent that Jason represented.
We will be there to support Jason peacefully and proudly against the Zionist’s campaign of workave bullying.
