Join us to show that Western Australians say NO to the North West Shelf and Browse gas export projects. We’ll be out the front of Woodside HQ every Wednesday to demand an end to the great gas rip off.
The North West Shelf and Browse are both components of the mega-polluting Burrup Hub gas project, which will pump more than 6 billion tonnes of carbon pollution into the atmosphere. The Browse project would feed the North West Shelf until 2070. Browse threatens precious endangered marine life at Scott Reef, including the dusky sea snake and nesting sea turtles.
Weeks ago, Woodside was given 10 days to respond to the federal government’s proposed conditions for the North West Shelf. Woodside have sailed past that deadline and are still negotiating backroom deals with the government. Meanwhile, Environment Minister Murray Watt refuses to publicly release the conditions or consult with Australian voters on the project. So to have our say, we’ll turn out on Wednesdays to push back against Woodside’s nightmarish gas expansion plans.
Want to get involved in Woodside Wednesdays? We’re looking for grassroots groups to partner with to organise weekly events. Send us a DM if you’re keen.
